When psychosis challenges your reality

"Psychosis is losing touch with reality, and there is always an underlying cause that makes this happen."  Many people with Bipolar I Disorder experience psychosis - auditory / visual hallucinations and / or delusions during manic episodes.  When this happens life is just as real as when they are not experiencing psychosis.  And when it's over the memories are still there plying a tug-of-war with understanding reality.  By processing this experience and talking about the feelings that come with it, peace can prevail.  This article is from the perspective of someone who has experienced psychosis.
